Maude M. Boecker

      Maude M. Boecker, 85, of New London, died at 9:34 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Henry County Health Center, of an apparent heart attack.

      Her body has been cremated. A private family inurnment service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation or services at Weir Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.

      Mrs. Boecker was born Oct. 4, 1915, in Baltimore Township near Lowell, the daughter of Alvin and Leo Wilson Simmons. She married Harry J. Boecker on Oct. 4, 1932, at Kahoka, Mo., who preceded her in death on June 29, 1998. She attended school in Lowell and worked on the family farm. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in West Burlington.

      Survivors include a daughter, Iva and Dennis Snyder of New London; two sons, Henry Boecker of rural Salem and Bernard Boecker of rural New London; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Ray Simmons.
