Maurice D. Millard

      Maurice Dean Millard, 74, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at the Henry County Health Center.

      Visitation will begin after noon on Wednesday, March 29, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 30, at 10 a.m. at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, with Daryl Coffin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Henry County's Oakland Mills Park.

      Mr. Millard was born March 18, 1932, in Cuba, Ill., to Leo and Coletha Haynes Millard. He was a 1950 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. On Aug. 24, 1952, he married Margaret Lee in Fairfield. She survives.
