Maurine Mills

    Maurine Mills, 99, of Clear Lake, formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, in the Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake, following a decline in health.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Julie Poulsen officiating.  Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.  The family will receive friends during a time of food and fellowship at the United Methodist Church in Washington following the committal service.  Memorials have been established to the United Methodist Church in Washington or to North Iowa Hospice.

    Mrs. Mills was born May 11, 1910, in Salem, the daughter of Edgar H. and Anna Jane (Bell) Matthews.  She married Gilbert A. Mills on April 25, 1936, in Salem.
