Maurine Peiffer

      KEOTA - Maurine Peiffer, 94, of Keota, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at Maplewood Manor in Keota.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with the Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Harper. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, with an Altar and Rosary Society Rosary at 3 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Keota Senior Citizens Center.

      Mrs. Peiffer was born on Feb. 27, 1910, near South English, to Jake and Katherine (Baumert) Leinen. On Sept. 4, 1935, she married Raymond Peiffer in Harper.
