Max G. Miller
Max G. Miller, 88, of Kansas City, Kan. died April 6, 2000, at the Delmar Gardens of Lenexa, Kan.
The memorial service was held April 10 at the Maple Hill Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan. Burial was in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City.
Mr. Miller was born Dec. 16, 1911, in Noble. He was married to Dee Miller. He graduated from Olds High School in 1929 and then completed two years at Iowa State Teachers in Cedar Falls, majoring in accounting. In 1932, he moved to Albert Lea, Minn. and accepted a position as assistant manager of Spurgeon's Store. In 1935, he was transferred to Kansas City, Kan. and three years later, he accepted a position with Panhandle Eastern Corporation, where he worked as an accounting manager for over thirty years before retiring in 1976. He was an Elder for the Maple Hill Presbyterian Church and a longtime member of the Village Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of Lenexa, Kan.; one son, Richard Miller of Lansing, Kan.; three stepsons, Ronnie Beach of Pittsburg, Kan., Douglas Beach of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and Kenneth Beach of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Glenn Miller of San Marcos, Calif.; two grandsons; five stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandson.
