Max H. Baese
Max H. Baese, 83, of Lockridge, died from lung cancer Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at the Veterans Medical Center in Iowa City.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Baese donated his body to the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
Murphy Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Baese was born Aug. 20, 1925, in Washington County, the son of Joe and Mable Wieneke Baese. He married Elaine Shelman Aug. 12, 1951, at Round Prairie Baptist Church, south of Lockridge.
