Max Marshall Sellers

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Max Marshall Sellers, 88, of Columbus Junction, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, at Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction, following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction, with the Rev. Cathy Whitlatch officiating. Burial, with military rites accorded by he Allen Wright Hanft American Legion Post No. 100, will be in Columbus City Cemetery. After the committal services, there will be a time of fellowship at Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held today, from 4 to7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials have been established for Columbus Junction United Methodist Church or Colonial Manor Care Center.

      Mr. Sellers was born Sept. 24, 1917, in Cairo, to son George and Vera (Marshall) Sellers. He married Isabelle M. Greene on Feb. 4, 1942. She preceded him in death in 2001.
