Max T. Gipple
Max Taylor Gipple, 89, of Winfield, formerly of rural Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 22, at the Winfield United Methodist Church; interment will follow at the Columbus City Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for the Spring Run Methodist church and Amenity Hospice.
He was born Nov. 25, 1918 in rural Columbus Junction, the son of Frank and Franciana Hamilton Gipple. On May 2, 1945, he married Lucile Jones in Topeka, Kan.
