Max Taylor Gipple

      WINFIELD - Max Taylor Gipple, 89, of Winfield, formerly of rural Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, in Sunrise Terrace Care Center.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, in the Winfield United Methodist Church in Winfield. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield where the family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Spring Run Methodist Church and Amenity Hospice.

      Mr. Gipple was born Nov. 25, 1918, in rural Columbus Junction, the son of Frank and Francianna (Hamilton) Gipple. He married Lucile Jones on May 2, 1945 in Topeka, Kan.
