Maxine Boysen

Maxine Boysen, 87, of Mediapolis, died Saturday, Sept. 13, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

According to her wishes, the body has been cremated. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis with family present from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the First United Presbyterian Church in Mediapolis with the Rev. Brad Hansen officiating. Following a lunch at the church, burial will be at the Cambrian Cemetery in rural Columbus Junction.

Memorials have been established to the First United Presbyterian Church and the Mediapolis Volunteer Fire Department.

She was born Aug. 23, 1921, in Columbus Junction, the daughter of Paul and Jennie Lewis Kerr. On March 3, 1940, she married Edlef Boysen at Kahoka, Mo.
