Maxine Joy McSorley

    MOUNT PLEASANT ? Maxine Joy McSorley, 75, of Winfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at her residence.

    A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at the Kimzey Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Charles Courtney, pastor of the Bloomfield Open Bible Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Wapello. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

    Mrs. McSorley, the former Maxine Joy Manning, was born April 7, 1935, in Wayland, the daughter of William Russell and Ferne Maxine (Manning) Jamison. She married Jimmie Lynn McSorley on March 29, 1956, in Kinglsey, Ga., while he was stationed there with the Navy.
