Maxine N. Shafer

      Maxine N. (Mrs. Ross) Shafer, 87, 717 East Burky Lane, Mt. Pleasant, IA, died at 3:40 A.M. on Sunday, April 7, 2002, at the Mapleleaf Healthcare Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      A funeral service for Mrs. Shafer will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 10 at the Bible Missionary Church, 406 East Clay Street, Mt. Pleasant. The Reverend Rodger Moyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call from 12 Noon to 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 9, and from 9:00 A.M. to 12 Noon on Wednesday, April 10, at the Weir Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, Mt. Pleasant. The family will be present to receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday evening at Weir's.
