Maxwell Wayne Krueger was born August 27, 2024, in Iowa City. The loving son of Chase and Rachel (Zuber) Krueger. He was baptized on September 29, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Max or Papoose as his dad called him loved his blankets, bath time, his bouncy chair and especially playing with his brother and sisters. Max passed away on Tuesday June 3, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City at the age of 9 months.

He is survived by his parents; a brother, Alexander; two sisters, Aubrey and Kaylee; grandparents, Bart and Mellissa Zuber and Faye and Don Krueger; great grandparents, Wayne and MaryAnne Meyer and Darrell Zuber; aunts and uncles, Elizabeth and Logan McQuillen their children Charlotte and Isabella, Nicole Zuber and son Henry, Zachary and Mikayla Zuber, Chad Krueger, Eric Krueger, Ryan and Kara Krueger and their children Sophie and Nolan Krueger, Reed and Thanny Krueger and their children Nicholas, Marcus, Avery (Josh) and Devin. He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Jovita Zuber, Paul and Martha Krueger, and Joseph and Vernie Wirth.

Visitation: Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A general memorial has been established. Private family service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Messages and tributes may be directed to www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
