Maynard D. Johnson

      Maynard D. Johnson, 84, of Ottumwa, died at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.

      A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Ralph Kister officiating. Inurnment will be in Ottumwa Cemetery with military services by American Legion O.B. Nelson Post No. 3 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Walter B. Schafer Post No. 775. The body has been cremated.

      A memorial has been established to First Lutheran Church.

      Mr. Johnson was born May 2, 1923, in Salina, the son of Tilford and Vada Johnson Johnson. He married Alberta Burnett May 4, 1947.
