Maynard Joseph Smith
KALONA ? Maynard Joseph Smith, 72, of Iowa City, formerly of West Liberty, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at his home following a brief illness.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the West Liberty Fire Department, Mount Calvary Masonic Lodge No. 95, Iowa City Masonic Lodge No. 4, and the American Cancer Society.
