Melvin F. Schneider

Melvin F. Schneider, 84, of Washington, Iowa, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at Washington County Hospital.

      A service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Interment with military honors conducted by Washington American Legion Post No. 29 will take place at the St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain.

      Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will be present from 3-5 p.m. Sunday. A prayer service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary.
