Meredith Meyer

LONE TREE ? Meredith ?Merry? Ann Meyer, 70, of Lone Tree, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery at a later date. The Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree is in charge of the arrangements. A general memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.

Mrs. Meyer was born Aug. 10, 1944, in Iowa City, the daughter of Howard and Jean (Musser) Stock. She married David Meyer in June 1963 in Lone Tree. The couple later divorced.

She was a 1962 graduate of Lone Tree High School. While living in Fort Worth, Texas, she worked as a nurses aide for the Renaissance Park Multi-Care. After moving back to Lone Tree, she worked for the Lone Tree Health Care Center until her retirement. She was a member of the Lone Tree American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed fishing, reading, traveling, dining out and spending time with her family.

Surviving are three sons, Rick Duane Meyer of Lone Tree, Steven John Meyer of Everman, Texas, and Scott Allen Meyer of Lone Tree; her mother, Jean Stock of Nisswa, Minn.; one sister, Meta Phelps and husband Garry of Nisswa, Minn.; one niece; and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Stock, on Aug. 7, 2005.
