Merle O. Crossett
WELLMAN - Merle O. Crossett, 84, of Wellman, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the First Baptist Church in Wellman, with the Rev. Gene Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the First Baptist Church and the Wellman Volunteer Ambulance.
