Merna Luceil Robison

Merna Luceil Robison, 96, of Brighton, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 16, 2006, at United Presbyterian Home in Washington, Iowa, where she had been a resident for the past several years.

      The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Brighton United Church, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton.

      Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, with the family present from 7-8 p.m.

      A memorial has been established to Brighton United Church.

      Mrs. Robison was born Aug. 28, 1909, in Brighton, the daughter of Charles H. and Hattie A. Shaffer Kessel. She married Donald Robison Aug. 5, 1928. He died June 19, 1980.
