Merrill F. Cooksey
Merrill F. Cooksey, 81, of Fairfield, died at 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at the Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. David Albert officiating. Following the service the body will be cremated and burial will be at a later date in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Fairfield VFW Post #2271 or the World War II Memorial.
