Mervin Leon Baxter

Mervin Leon Baxter, 70, of rural Richland, died at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at home. 

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Plain Friends Church in Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Stan Bauer officiating. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery near Hedrick. 

Open visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland, with the family present from 5:30-7 p.m. 

A general memorial has been established. Memorials may be left at the church or may be mailed to the family at 1070 Osage Ave., Richland 52585. 

Mr. Baxter was born Aug. 28, 1940, in Hedrick, the son of John Joseph and Elsie Mae Reiner Baxter. He married Marcine Louise McDowell Aug. 28, 1960, in Agency.
