MICHAEL ALLAN MCLAIN

Michael Allan McLain, 65, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Mike was born on Dec. 9, 1954, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Cecil B. and Helen (nee Smith) McLain. He married Susie (nee DeMay) McLain in Sheffield, IL. They celebrated 39 years of marriage.

Mike was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan, enjoyed blues music and spending time with his family.

Michael is survived by his spouse, Susie McLain (nee DeMay); his children, Natalie (Chris) LaPorta, Nicole (Marc) Buddin, Lucas (Cristina) McLain and Emily McLain; his grandchildren, Kellen LaPorta, Leighton LaPorta, Lillian Buddin and Jack Buddin; as well as his siblings, Joe (Charlotte) McLain, Tom McLain, Mary (Cliff) Crowl, Charlotte Healy, Kathy (late Tom) Simpson, Steve McLain, Connie (David) Johnson and Lori (Joseph) Kyle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his grandchildren, Audrey and Nolan LaPorta.

Memorial Mass Friday, Nov. 6, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 (capacity limits, PPE requirements and social distancing in effect).
