Michael Allen “Mikey” Patton, 31, of Washington, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, August 30, in an automobile accident in New Mexico. He was born September 17, 1993 in Illinois to Vickie Patton and Michael Allen.

Mikey grew up with a love for cheering on the Chicago White Sox alongside his dad and was an avid professional wrestling fan.

He graduated from Washington High School and went on to pursue his lifelong dream of creating music.

Mikey’s life was filled with adventure and creativity. He found joy in skateboarding, disc golf, family trips and, most of all, in sharing his music. As a member of the band Calculated, he dedicated himself to bringing his songs to life and sharing them with his community.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Vickie Patton; his father, Michael Allen; his sister, Renee Huddleston; and his beloved dog, Guts.

Mikey is survived by his brother, Eric (Taylor) Patton; sisters Jerrica Patton (Jared Hanson) and Kristal Patton (Clayton Miller); brother-in-law Anthony Huddleston; nieces and nephews; grandmother Chloe Patton; as well as many cherished friends and his faithful dog, Cleo.

A celebration of Mikey’s life will be held on September 20 at the Aurora Healing Gardens in Washington from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Flowers are welcome and may be delivered to 1820 West Main Street, Washington, IA prior to the celebration.
