Michael C. Limbert, age 72, of Ainsworth, Iowa, died Sunday, June 18, 2023 at his home under hospice care.

Michael was born January 19, 1951, in Fort Riley, Kansas, the son of Herman Karl and Lorraine Francis (Rogers) Limbert. He graduated from Andress High School in El Paso, Texas. He was united in marriage to Pamela Moody on February 14, 1974, in El Paso, Texas.

Mike lived most of his life in Texas. He lived in Virginia for a short time before moving to Iowa in 1975. Mike has lived in Washington for the past 20 years. He worked as a Draftsman at Ratheon in White Sands, New Mexico, Advanced Ross Mfg. and later worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Axion Wind Power in Davenport, Iowa.

Mike enjoyed being outdoors and anything with motors. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, boating, and he drove race cars for many years. Mike received his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying airplanes. His 1969 Stingray Corvette was the love of Mike’s life. He enjoyed tinkering and could fix anything. He especially loved his daughter and grandchildren and the time they spent together.

He is survived by his daughter, Tara Baker of Ainsworth, Iowa; granddaughters, Ava and Evie Baker; grandson, Devin Baker; sister, Linda Breeding of Christiansburg, Virginia; nephew, Shannon Breeding and wife June of Glen Allen, Virginia; niece, Erinn Reynolds and husband David of Christianburg, Virginia; great-niece, Harley Reynolds; great-nephew, Dalton Reynolds; and former wife, Pam Mier of Fruitland, Iowa.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
