Michael D. Shirey
Michael David "Mike" Shirey, 61, of Danville, died Saturday, May 10, at his home.
His body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at New London Christian Church, with the Rev. Rod Cooper officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for M.D.A., ALS Lou Gehrig's Disease, and Great River Hospice House.
He was born April 17, 1947 in La Harpe, Ill., the son of Keoster and Velda Spangler Shirey. On July 26, 1969, he married Christine Miller in Peoria, Ill.
