Michael E. ?Mike? Brake

CEDAR RAPIDS ? Michael E. ?Mike? Brake, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, in the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, from cancer.

    A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the First Baptist Church-Church of the Brethren in Cedar Rapids with the Rev. Jim Goodrich officiating.  A gathering in the fellowship hall will follow the service.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids is in charge of the arrangements.

    Mr. Brake was born June 24, 1947, in Council Bluffs, the son of Eldon D. and Ruth E. (White) Brake.  He married Peggy L. King on Aug. 9, 1975.
