Michael R. Hughes

Michael R. Hughes, 36, of Lockridge, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A graveside service is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lockridge Cemetery in Lockridge, with the Rev. Earl Swigart officiating.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with family present from 5-7 p.m.

Mr. Hughes was born June 28, 1977, in Kansas City, the son of Donald ?Butch? and Jocinda E. Ridinger Standley. He married Misty Sue Corbin Sept. 25, 1999.

He had worked construction and worked for Remington Seeds of Mt. Pleasant until his health prevented him from working.

Survivors include his wife Misty and two children, Jackson and Alixandria all of Lockridge; his parents of Alexandria, Mo.; one brother, Terance Standley of Mt. Pleasant; and one sister, Joni Mendoza of Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, John Ridinger and Jack Douglas.
