Michael Todd Boileau, 56, of Washington, Iowa, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, at his residence following a sudden illness.

Celebration of Life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, 2019, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Calling hours will begin at noon Sunday, Aug. 11, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Delta Water Fowl.

Mike was born July 5, 1963, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Robert "Red" and Rose (Taylor) Boileau. He attended school in Washington and graduated from Washington High School in 1981. Mike was plant manager of Whitesell Corp. in Washington, Iowa.

Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed duck hunting, turkey hunting, fishing, mushrooming, spending time at the marsh and spending time at the family cabin on the Iowa River. He was an avid reader and "inventor of sorts."

He is survived by his sister, Bobbi Trier of Washington, Iowa; sister, Jackie Gunn and husband Butch of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Jill Boileau; brother, Pat Boileau; sister, Amy Stoutner and sister, Billie Bruns and husband David, all of Washington, Iowa; 10 nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and -nephews; aunt, Fairy Gesling of Washington, Iowa; aunt, Marcella "Tillie" Yuska of Colorado Springs, Colo.; uncle, Carl Hays and wife Billie of Burlington, Iowa; and his canine companion, Tucker.

Mike was preceded in death by his father in 1996, his mother in 2017, and one great-niece.
