Michelle Dawn (Hathcock) Mask, 53, of Washington, IA, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020, at her home in Washington. Private family services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2020, at the Beatty Funeral Home. A drive-by visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. underneath the carport of the funeral home. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church or Paws and More Animal Shelter. Social distancing and masks will be enforced.

Michelle Dawn Mask was born on September 20, 1966, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Winston and Sandra (Waters) Hathcock. She was nominated for Miss Teenage Iowa in Des Moines in 1983. Michelle graduated from West High School in Iowa City in 1985. After high school, she went to Kirkwood Community College for Computer Sciences. After college, she worked at Siefert's in Washington. She worked at the Corner Stop in Washington for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Meskwaki casino, gardening, fishing, crafting and spending time with her family and grandkids.

Michelle is survived by her significant other, TC Goff; children, Andrew (Debora) Mask of Washington, IA, and Jacob Mask and significant other Macy Helle of Cedar Falls, IA; mother, Sandra (Dave) VonSprecken of Swisher, IA; brother, Mike Hathcock of MO; half-brother, Jim Schafer of MO; grandchildren, Trevor, Tyson, Hailey, Hayden and Andrew Jr., and best friend, Jackie Ellison.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father; and maternal grandmother, Betty Huber.
