Michelle Kay (Jarrard) Potter, age 60, of Washington, Iowa, passed away at her home on Monday, May 19, 2025, following a short decline in health.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Marion Avenue Baptist Church, with Pastor Joseph Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. A general memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent for Michelle’s family at www.jonesfh.com.
Michelle was born on January 21, 1965, the daughter of Relden C. and Kay M. (Bennett) Jarrard. She attended school in Washington and Faith Christian Academy in Fairfield, later graduating from Suburban Heights Christian School in Fairfield. On June 17, 2006, Michelle was united in marriage to Raymond Leroy Potter in Rock Island, Illinois.
Michelle spent her entire life in Washington, Iowa. She was employed with HACAP for several years and later dedicated herself to being a homemaker. Michelle was a member of the Marion Avenue Baptist Church. She loved her animals, and enjoyed canning and camping in her free time.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond L. Potter Jr. of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Ashlee Weimer of Washington, Iowa; granddaughter, Veia Young of Washington, Iowa; grandson, Jace Brown of Sedalia, Missouri; brother, Michael Jarrard of Washington, Iowa; and sister, Tara (David) Lord of Washington, Iowa.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Mary Jarrard.
