Mildred Coffin Mendenhall

      BRIGHTON - Mildred Coffin Mendenhall, 83, of New Providence, died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Honey Creek New Providence Friends Church in New Providence. There will also be a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Plain Friends Church, with the Rev. Ron Bryan and the Rev. Sally Wolff officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Plains Friends Cemetery. Family visitation will take place at each church beginning at 11 a.m. the day of the services. Open visitation will take place at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be directed to the Quakerdale Children's Home in New Providence.
