Mildred E. Hicks

Mildred E. Hicks, 99, of Fairfield, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Abingdon Cemetery, with the Rev. Jack Jackson officiating.

Open visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hicks was born July 22, 1910, in Abingdon, the daughter of Ransom and Edna Ives Whitmore. She married Robert Hicks March 30, 1935, in New London. He died Dec. 11, 1976.
