Mildred E. Lowenberg
Mildred E. Lowenberg, 98, of the West Point Care Center, formerly of Keokuk, died Friday, Oct. 12, at the West Point Care Center.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, and the family will meet with friends until the time of the memorial service, 10:30 a.m. at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson. The Rev. Craig Burton will officiate the service. Burial will be at Zion Mennonite Cemetery in rural Donnellson.
A memorial has been established to Lee County Hospice.
Mildred was born July 10, 1909 in New Boston, the daughter of John and Anna Weber Lowenberg. She resided in Keokuk until moving to West Point in 2003.
She worked at General Mills until her retirement in 1974. After retirement, she volunteered at Keokuk Area Hospital at the information desk and the gift shop. Mildred was a faithful member of Evangelical Free Church of Keokuk.
She is survived by two nephews, one niece, three great-nephews and one great-niece.
Her parents, one brother and four sisters preceded her in death.
