Mildred E. Overlander
Mildred E. Overlander, 86, of Fairfield, died Monday, March 17, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with family present from 7 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 20, at United Methodist Church in Stockport, with the Rev. Michael Renken officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery, rural Stockport.
Memorials have been established for Stockport United Methodist Church or Spencer Cemetery, and may be left at the funeral home or church or mailed to the family at 28649 130th St., Stockport, IA 52651.
She was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Toulon, Ill., the daughter of Jesse and Faye Filson Headley. On Sept. 16, 1939, she married Henry Overlander in Mt. Pleasant.
She was a graduate of Stockport High School. She was a member of Stockport United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, and a previous member of Stockport Library Board and L.L.G. Club. She and her husband farmed and sold Pioneer seed corn in the Stockport community.
Survivors include two sons, Allen Overlander and his wife Carol of Stockport and Maurice Overlander and his wife Nancy of Osage Beach, Mo.; her sister, Nola Harlan and her husband Deane of Stockport; her half-sister, Sandra Silldorff and her husband Herb of Metamora, Ill.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, brother Sheldon Headley, and a grandson preceded her in death.
