Mildred E. Sands

Mildred E. Sands, 87, of Washington, died Thursday, May 27, 2010, in Halcyon House in Washington following a lengthy illness.

    Celebration of life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating.  Burial will be at Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth.  Visitation will begin at noon Monday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  Memorials have been established for Cotter Presbyterian Church and Salem Welsh Presbyterian Church.

    Mrs. Sands was born April 3, 1923, in Washington, the daughter of Howard Everette and Versa Mae (Chadwick) Anderson.  She married Donald Frank ?Don? Sands on Nov. 1, 1943, in Albany, Ga.
