Mildred Eileen Wagler, 86, of Washington, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at Mercy Hospital. Her body will be cremated and no services will be held. Beatty Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Eileen Wagler was born Oct. 25, 1932, in Washington, the daughter of Elmer and Myrl Waller. She graduated from Keota High School in 1951. She married Don Heisdorffer in 1951 and Harold Wagler in 1988. Eileen worked at the Calendar Factory for almost 40 years.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Harold Wagler; and children, Kay Witthoft, Scot (Cindy) Heisdorffer, Mark (Candace) Heisdorffer and Pat (Jeff) Richards; grandchildren, Jenny (Alan) Weber, Robert Shindelar, Leslie (Ben) Johnson, Katie (Ryan) Lefeber, Alex (Sarah) Knerr, Peri (Logan) Richards, Payton Richards and Clay (Rebecca) Richards; great-grandchildren, Veronika Johnson, Libby Heinrich, Ryan Johnson, Dylan Weber, Jax Weber, Ely Knerr, Elizabeth Lefeber and Luka Shoemaker. Eileen also is survived by the Wagler children, Terry, Cary, Candi, Shelley and their families.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don, in 1976; daughter, Mary, in 1998; son-in-law, Bill Witthoft, in 2014; and her cat, Fred.

One of Eileen's proudest achievements in life was having instilled in each of her children a strong work ethic so they could meet life's challenges.
