Mildred Hazel Black

      WINFIELD - Mildred Hazel Black, 87, of Crawfordsville, died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

      Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 1, at Olds United Church of Christ with Carl and Elaine Vass and the Rev. John Benedict officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery northeast of Olds. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, where family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial has been established for Crawfordsville First Responders.

      Mrs. Black was born Oct. 24, 1918, to Gideon and May (Allen) Crawford, near Olds. She married Roy C. Black on March 15, 1941, in Fairfield. He preceded her in death in 1986.
