Mildred A. "Jinx" Hill, 92, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at the Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant. Private graveside services will be held Saturday, Dec. 19, at White Oak Cemetery, rural Mount Pleasant. Burial will follow in the White Oak Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. The family will not be present. Memorials may be directed to the White Oak Cemetery and or to the Fellowship Cup of Mount Pleasant in her memory.

Mildred was born July 4, 1928, in Trenton Township in Henry County, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Dora (Scheffel) Miller. She was united in marriage to Kenneth R. Hill on July 7, 1948. He preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2014. She worked for Heatilator of Mount Pleasant for 20 years and the Henry County Courthouse for 13 years. Mildred helped her husband on the farm. She was of the Lutheran faith.

She is survived by her children, Roger (Nancy) Hill of Wayland, Connie (Ron) Calhoun of Raymondville, Mo., Russell (Jackie) Hill of New London, Kathy Hay of Mount Pleasant, Daniel (Julie) Hill of New London, Cindy (Jim) Hilton of Mount Pleasant and Penny McCoy (Curt Ramirez) of Des Moines; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Pat Tolbert of Galesburg, Ill., and Mary Fetterman of Mount Pleasant; and her brother, Glen Miller of Mount Pleasant.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son-in-law, David Hay; and two sisters, Kay Scarff and Norma Jo Miller.
