Mildred M. Bower
KALONA-Mildred M. Bower, 81, of Kalona, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at home, following a lengthy illness.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m., at Shiloh Church in Kalona. Ms. Bower was buried this morning in a private graveside service. Memorials may be directed to Lending Hands Adult Day Care, Iowa City Hospice, or Shiloh Church.
Ms. Bower was born on April 30, 1922, in Washington, to Harold H. and Bertha M. (Woods) Haifley. She married Raymond B. Bower in Washington on Oct. 11, 1941. The couple later divorced.
