Mildred Mary Newell

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION-Mildred Mary Newell, 96, of Columbus Junction,, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.       Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m., at Pleasant Grove Community Church in rural Columbus Junction, with the Rev. Ralph Draper officiating. Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, prior to services at the church. A general memorial has been established. Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction is handling arrangements.

      Mrs. Newell was born on July 24, 1908, in Columbus Junction, to Leslie Carnes and Stella Isabelle (Siverly) Hill. On March 3, 1932, she married Thomas "Herbert" Newell in Columbus Junction.
