Mildred Arlene McKune, 92, of Wayland, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, at Parkview Home in Wayland. Funeral services have been set for

2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery, east of Wayland. Visitation will begin at noon Friday at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials in the name of Mildred McKune may be directed to the Wayland First Responders.

Mildred was born April 9, 1927, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Geneva (Libe) Chorpening. She was united in marriage to Harry McKune on April 5, 1944, at the Christian Tabernacle in Washington.

Survivors include her son, Gary (Angie) McKune of Cabool, Mo.; grandchildren, Todd, Ted and Natasha; great-grandchildren, Lailah, Jesse, Luke and Christan: brother, Charles Chorpening of Lauri, Mo.; and a sister, Ruth Burdick of Mesa, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry, in 2006; and a sister, Esther.
