Mildred Snyder

Mildred Snyder, 95, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Washington, died Friday, July 3, 2009, in Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale following a brief illness.   

    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with the Rev. Paul Appel officiating.  Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Richmond.  Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.   Prayers services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  There will also be visitation with the family present from 9 to 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.  Memorials may be directed to St. James Church.

    Mrs. Snyder was born Nov. 27, 1913, in Washington, the daughter of Carl and Helen (Pieper) Emde.
