Miles A. Henderson

Miles A. Henderson, 79, of Florence, Ariz. died March 15, 2000, in Florence.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Clugston-Tibbits Funeral Home in Macomb, Ill. A memorial mass was held Tuesday, March 21 at the Assumption Catholic Church in Florence, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made out and sent directly to Norma Henderson, 3610 Florence Blvd., Florence, Ariz., 85232. Proceeds will go toward expenses for EKG, X-Ray equipment or Hospice.

Mr. Henderson was born March 20, 1920, in Macomb, Ill., the son of Ray and Estella Henderson. He was an Army Corps veteran in WWII and a piping superintendent for Stearns-Rogers in Denver, Colo. before retirement. He enjoyed golf, playing bridge, and building his Falcon airplane. He was a Mason and a member of the Coolidge-Florence Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Norma J. Henderson; two sons, Robert and Michael Henderson of New London; three step-grandchildren, Jerry, Lori and Connie Vekre; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 34 years, Wanda McCrady; and two brothers, Keith and Robert.
