Miles Edward Shelman

Miles Edward Shelman, 70, of rural Winfield, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11 at Olds United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Chris Cowles officiating. Burial will follow in North Wayne Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, with family present from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include his wife; his father of Winfield; two sons, Miles Keith and his wife Mary Jo Shelman of Mt. Pleasant, and Kenneth and his wife Barb Shelman of Olds; a daughter, Jeanine Shelman-Ward and her husband Doug of Ankeny; a daughter-in-law, Molly Shelman Alvine; nine grandchildren; and a brother, Laris Shelman of Winfield.

      He was preceded in death by his mother; a son, Michael, and a sister, SueZann.
