HARPER - Milo D. Miller, 79, of Harper, died Saturday, July 9, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, following a lengthy illness.
A funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper, with the Rev. Marty Goetz and the Rev. Robert Harness officiating. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., today, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a prayer service at 6 p.m., tonight, at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for University of Iowa Cancer Research.
Mr. Miller was born on Dec. 12, 1925, in Clayton County, to John and Mildred (Wade) Miller. He married Anne Rettler at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper on Aug. 28, 1947.
