Mineta A. Pringle

      Mineta A. Pringle, 84, formerly of Fairfield, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center in Creston.

      A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Nathan Aaseng officiating. Burial will be in Clay Cemetery.

      Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Fairfield Public Library. Online condolences may be left at www.behnerfh.com.

      Mrs. Pringle was born Aug. 2, 1921, in Libertyville, the daughter of Charles and Jennie Bowers Booth. She married Charles Pringle April 1, 1939 in Fairfield. He died March 30, 1985.

      Mrs. Pringle was an assistant at the Fairfield Public Library for 10 years, retiring in 1997. She was previously employed in sales at Sears.

      Mrs. Pringle was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.

      Survivors include a son, Robert Pringle and wife Wendy of Edgewood, N.M.; two granddaughters; a great-grandson; and two sisters, Marie Zuelhke of Eldon and Gladys McDonough of Ottumwa.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Raymond.
