Minnie Ellen Robinson, 84, of Burlington, died at 6:49 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Great River Hospice House.

Born June 3, 1936 in West Point, IA, she was the daughter of Charley and Bessie (Crowson) McCane. She married Charles Robinson August 25, 1956, in Burlington. He died May 21, 1996.

Minnie graduated from Denmark Academy. She worked as a registered nurse in the obstetrics department for 35 years at Burlington Medical Center and Great River Medical Center, until her retirement in 1998. Minnie was active within Union Lighthouse Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and loved being a nurse and taking care of patients.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara J. Riles of Fort Madison; three adopted children, David Davis, Timmy Redd and Shirley Privett; nineteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great- granddaughter; and a brother, Campbell McCane of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Cindy Privett; one sister, Ella Mitchell; one granddaughter, Brittney Redd; and one brother, Edward McCane.

The funeral service for Mrs. Robinson will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15th, at Lunning Chapel. Interment will follow in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
