Minnie Pearl Decker

      KALONA - Minnie Pearl Decker, 95, of Kalona, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a long illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona with the Rev. David L. Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for Iowa City Hospice and the Pleasantview Home.

      Mrs. Decker was born Jan. 9, 1913, in Scotland County near Memphis, Mo., the daughter of Gilbert and Jessie (Rugh) Jones. She married Lester Decker on Nov. 10, 1935, in Cantril.
