Monroe Jennings

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Monroe Jennings, 84, of rural Columbus Junction, died Thursday, July 17, 2008, in the Washington Care Center in Washington.

      Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 26 in the Fulton Cemetery near Cairo with the Rev. Joseph Sia of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. A memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Jennings was born May 26, 1924 in Louisa Center, near Cairo, the son of Donald Dean and Grace Jane (Smith) Jennings. He married Lucille M. Laue on June 26, 1954 in Burlington.
