Morris Ray 'Morrie' Lowe

      Morris Ray "Morrie" Lowe, 57, of rural Mount Pleasant, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at home following a battle with cancer.

      A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Jim Luder officiating. A private family burial will be in Lambirth Cemetery.

      Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Saturday at the memorial chapel, where the family will be present from 2-4 p.m.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Hospice of Central Iowa, American Cancer Society and American Diabetes Association. Online condolences may be sent to www.olsonpowell.com.

      Mr. Lowe was born June 27, 1950, in Charleston, Mo., the son of Frank Sollie and Mary Elizabeth Burns Lowe. He married Diana Lynn Bennett July 19, 1970, in Burlington.
